Most inspectors track defects by counting the sample size and entering the number of defects.  However, you can measure your defects by weight.  Here's how.

1. Create a new Inspection.
   
2. Set the Sample Size value to the weight of your total sample (for example 20.4 pounds).
   
3. Weigh and record the weight values of each defect found (for example 1.2 pounds).
   

That's it.  Lotpath Quality will automatically calculate defect percentages based on weight.
